I love lentils

I discovered this dish when I didn't have any fresh vegetables and I was too lazy to go to a shop ;). Originally it was with sliced black olives instead of broccoli. It became one of my favorite dishes, since it's easy to prepare and very tasty.

Ingredients:
  • 250 ml dry red lentils
  • 1 broccoli
  • 1 onion
  • cheese
  • olive oil
  • tomato paste
  • 1 garlic clove
  • curry, black pepper, salt
  • pasta

Slice onion and broccoli in small pieces. Put some olive oil into a pot, add onion and fry for a while, add broccoli and some water. Cook until broccoli is soft. In the meanwhile cook lentils in water with salt in another pot. When lentils are cooked, put them into the pot with broccoli, add tomato paste, garlic (sliced in very small pieces) and spices. Cook everything together for a while. Don't forget to cook pasta!
When you put the food into a plate, put a slice of cheese between pasta and vegetables, so that it melts.
Bom apetite!

Indian dinner

Today Indian food!

Since I don't have scale, I'll use a mug. The mug has 200 ml and comes from DESY.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 small cauliflower
  • 1 1/2 mugs of chickpea
  • 1/2 mug of green peas (I used frozen)
  • 1 carrot
  • tomato paste
  • 1 garlic clove
  • fresh ginger
  • curry
  • garam masala
  • pepper, salt
  • rice (I had basmati)

If you have dry chickpeas, soak them one day before cooking. Cooking cheakpeas takes longtime (about 2h).
Slice carrot and cauliflower. Cook cauliflower. Then, put all vegetables into a pot and cook together with some water.
Add spices (I strongly recommend a lot of ginger which gives a unique taste to the dish) and
tomato paste and cook for a while.
